The Morning Blues
The Morning Blues
Proverbs 6: 9-11
"How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man."
Dear Lord, Will I survive
Getting up at half past five.
Somebody stop the clock.
I'm going into shock.
I'll get up on the hour
to take a cold shower.
My mind is not willing
and my body is chilling.
Mirror what do you see
not enough time for me
Put on make-up fast
Will it really last?
Eat and get gas for the car
without fuel I can't go far.
Too much work to do today
and I've got bills to pay
Nose stopped up and ears ringing
courageous bird outside singing
